BREMERTON – For the first time in additional than 65 a long time, the substantial yellow letters “TV” won’t reign in excess of East 11th Street in Manette, as the legendary television and equipment retail store sign was taken down Monday.

A crowd of folks collected at the intersection of East 11th and Pitt Avenue on Monday morning to enjoy as contractors from Hanson Signs dismantled and pulled down the iconic Manette Television set sign.

“I’m pretty excited, this has been a long time coming,” setting up owner Tanya Spoon said.

Spoon, who also owns the Manette Clinic on Wheaton Way, stated most people today who passed by expressed disappointment that the signal was coming down. But if all goes effectively, the Bremerton landmark should really be again and wanting far better than ever someday soon.

Crew members from Hanson Signs remove the remaining part of the "V" as the iconic Manette TV sign is taken down on Monday. The sign will be renovated and the owner of the building intends to have it returned to its original location.
